Ready Player One

This summer, I read the book Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, I would give this book a 9.

This book takes place in the future and is about a video game, called the OASIS, where the creator, a multi billionaire, put an Easter egg, or an unknown hidden loophole, in the program. In the creator's death will, he had a video shown on the tv about a competition where whoever found the Easter egg first would earn his entire fortune of over 250 billion dollars. On the video, the creator included the first clue and told everyone that the path to the egg, including 3 hidden keys and matching gates, would have much to do with his own interests and hobbies. The main character, Wade, is one of the decreasing number of people searching for the egg (since it is so well hidden), and, after 5 years of searching, is the very first person to find the first key. This book can teach you that one must not worry so much about something that is very unlikely to happen, but focus on more important things like education or a job.
